An AI coding environment built around agents, not an editor
Most AI coding tools are an editor with an assistant added on. Tenfold starts from the other end: the agents do the typing, and the environment is built for the person running them, so you can see them, answer them and review what they write.
When the agent writes most of the code, the hard part of the job moves. It’s no longer typing; it’s keeping several agents busy, answering them quickly, keeping them out of each other’s way, and checking what they produce. Tenfold is a Mac workspace designed around that job. It’s what people now call an agentic development environment, or ADE.

What’s in the environment
- The real agent. Every session is Claude Code running in a real terminal with your own account, so your commands, skills, MCP servers and hooks work as they always do. More on that.
- Five layouts. Focus, Split, Board, Inbox and Code all show the same running sessions. Switch with ⌥⌘1 to ⌥⌘5 and nothing restarts.
- Parallel by design. Overlap warnings, a git worktree per agent, merging finished work back into main, and one prompt broadcast to many. Running agents in parallel.
- Live code review. Follow the diff an agent is writing, accept or reject each change, and stage it, with an editor view for the whole file. Reviewing agent code.
- Your setup in one place. Every MCP server, skill, plugin, agent and hook, with catalogues to add more. Managing your setup.
- Usage you can plan around. Your weekly limit, where your pace lands by the reset, and what your usage would cost at API rates. Usage and limits.
- The notch. Fold the whole workspace into the Mac notch with ⌘D. Your agents keep working, and their buddies knock when one needs you. The notch.
Vibe coding, at the scale of a team
Vibe coding works best when you can keep several ideas moving at once. Start an agent per feature, each in its own worktree, describe what you want, and let them build. Tenfold tells you when one needs a decision, and the Code layout shows what each one is writing, line by line, so you stay in charge of what ships.
Private by default
Tenfold runs Claude Code on your Mac and reads its files there. Your code, prompts and transcripts are never sent to Tenfold, and the app collects no analytics. Read the privacy policy.
Questions
What is an agentic development environment (ADE)?
An agentic development environment is a workspace designed for running AI coding agents rather than for typing code yourself. Where an IDE is centred on the editor, an ADE is centred on the agents: what each one is doing, which ones need a decision, and what code they have changed. Tenfold is an ADE for Mac, built for Claude Code.
What is the best AI coding environment for running Claude Code on a Mac?
If you work with Claude Code and want to run several sessions at once, Tenfold is built for exactly that: a native Mac app that keeps the real Claude Code CLI in every pane and adds five layouts, an Inbox for permission prompts, overlap warnings, git worktrees per agent, live code review and a usage meter.
Is Tenfold an IDE? Does it replace VS Code, Cursor or Xcode?
Tenfold isn't built to replace your editor. Its Code layout has an editor view with the project tree, source control, blame and inline review, so you can read, accept, reject and stage what an agent writes, but the app is centred on running and supervising agents. You can keep your usual editor open alongside it.
Is Tenfold good for vibe coding?
Yes. Vibe coding means describing what you want and letting an AI agent write it. Tenfold makes that work at scale: several Claude Code agents can build in parallel, you answer their questions from one Inbox or the notch, and the Code layout lets you follow and review every change as it happens.
Which AI coding agents does Tenfold support?
Claude Code, today. Codex is next, and more agents are on the way after it, including Antigravity and the Cursor CLI. Plain terminal tabs work too, and a long build in one shows up in the notch like an agent would.

- LayoutsThe Workspace's five layouts, Focus, Split, Board, Inbox and Code, what each one is for, and how to switch between them.
- Parallel agentsRun multiple Claude Code agents in one repository: overlap warnings, a worktree for each agent, and one prompt broadcast to many.
More about Tenfold
- Mac app for Claude CodeTenfold is a native Mac app for Claude Code. Chat or terminal for every session, permission prompts in one inbox, and the real CLI underneath.
- Parallel agentsRun many Claude Code agents at once, even in one repo: overlap warnings, a git worktree per agent, one prompt broadcast to many, and one inbox.
- Live code reviewFollow the diff a Claude Code agent is writing, live. Accept, reject and stage each change, with an editor view, source control and blame.
- Usage and limitsSee your weekly Claude Code limit, where your pace lands by the reset, and what your usage would cost at API rates, always in view on your Mac.
- The notchWatch your Claude Code agents from the MacBook notch, answer their prompts in place, and fold the whole workspace away with ⌘D. Works without a notch.
- MCP and skills managerSee every MCP server, skill, plugin, agent and hook Claude Code uses, and where each applies. Add servers from a catalogue or by pasting a README.
- Tenfold vs terminalAn honest comparison: running Claude Code in terminal tabs or tmux versus Tenfold, and when each one is the better choice for parallel agents.
