Account and billing

Tenfold has one plan with everything in it, billed monthly or yearly. The price is the same in every country, with tax included. Lemon Squeezy handles checkout and billing as the merchant of record, so your payment details go to them, not to Tenfold.

To see where your subscription stands, open Settings and choose Subscription & trial on the General page. The License & Trial… item in the menu bar opens the same screen.

The free trial

You start the trial in the app, in the last step of the first-run setup. A card is needed, and nothing is charged until day 14. If you cancel before then, you pay nothing.

Each Mac and each email address gets one trial. Deleting and reinstalling the app doesn’t start a new one, because the trial is kept on the license server.

When the trial ends

Your plan starts on day 14 unless you cancel before then. While the first charge goes through, Tenfold stays unlocked for up to an hour.

  • If the payment doesn’t go through, Tenfold locks and shows Your payment didn’t go through. Update your card with Lemon Squeezy, then retry.
  • If you cancelled, Tenfold locks: the Workspace won’t open, and the notch shows only the license screen. You can subscribe again from there.

When you cancel a paid plan

Tenfold keeps working until the end of the period you’ve paid for, then locks. You can subscribe again from the license screen.

Until that date, Tenfold needs to reach the license server. If it can’t, it locks until it can.

One Mac at a time

A subscription runs on one Mac at a time, with no seat count. You can use it on any of your Macs, just not at the same time.

Move to another Mac

  1. Install Tenfold on the new Mac.
  2. On the license screen, choose Already subscribed? Sign in with your email.
  3. Enter the email on your receipt, then choose Email me a code.
  4. Enter the 6-digit code from the email.

If Tenfold is active on another Mac, it asks whether to use it here. Say yes, and the first Mac is signed out on the spot.

A few limits keep this fair:

  • Tenfold can move between your Macs up to 10 times a day. Past that, it tells you when you can try again.
  • A code is good for 10 minutes and 5 tries. You can ask for up to 5 codes an hour.

To sign a Mac out yourself, choose Sign out of this Mac on the license screen. Your subscription carries on, and you can sign in again any time.

Working offline

Tenfold checks in with its license server every 30 minutes, and when it launches, wakes or changes network.

  • A paid plan keeps working offline for up to 14 days. Tenfold shows how many days of access are left.
  • A trial, or a plan whose payment hasn’t gone through, keeps working for up to 24 hours after its last check.

If your Mac is online but can’t reach the license server for an hour, Tenfold locks. Check that a firewall, VPN or ad blocker isn’t blocking it.

To check whether your Mac is online, Tenfold asks the hosts the agents themselves use: Anthropic, OpenAI and Apple.

Manage or cancel

Choose Manage subscription on the license screen to update your card or cancel. It opens the Lemon Squeezy customer portal.

What the license server knows

The license server receives your email address, a one-way hash that identifies your Mac, your Mac’s name (so you can tell your Macs apart) and your currency, for the price shown at checkout. It never sees your code, prompts or transcripts. For more, read the privacy policy.
