Settings has a Claude Code tab: one place to see everything Claude Code is extended with, and where each one applies. Open Settings with ⌘, and choose Claude Code.
Five categories
The tab lists:
- Tools: MCP servers, which connect Claude to apps and services like GitHub, Linear, a browser or a database.
- Skills: know-how Claude loads only when a task needs it.
- Plugins: bundles of skills, tools, agents and hooks you install in one go.
- Agents: specialists Claude can hand a sub-task to, each with its own instructions.
- Hooks: scripts Claude Code runs on events.
Use the folder menu at the top right to choose which project you’re looking at.
Installed
Installed shows what’s set up right now, grouped by where it applies:
- Everywhere
- This project, just me
- This project, shared with team
- From plugin, for items a plugin brought in
Click a row to open its card: everything it is, where it lives, and what you can do with it. Secrets are masked until you reveal them. The everyday actions are right on the row: approve a team server, sign in to a server, or switch a skill or plugin on or off.
A skill can be On, Name only (Claude sees the name only, which saves context), Only when I type /name, or Off.
Hooks are listed so you can see them. To change one, edit settings.json.
Discover
Discover is a catalogue of tools, skills, plugins and agents. Search it, filter by category, and sort the results. Trusted listings come first: Tenfold’s recommendations and the plugin marketplaces Claude Code has added. Community directories follow under their own header.
When you type a search, Tenfold searches these directories live:
- Tools: the MCP Registry and Smithery
- Skills: skills.sh and claude-plugins.dev
- Plugins: claude-plugins.dev
Those directories receive your search terms. Nothing about your code is sent. Offline, whatever was cached still shows.
Add a tool from a README
Choose Add a tool and paste whatever the tool’s README gives you: a URL, a command like npx, uvx or docker, a claude mcp add … line, or a JSON snippet. Tenfold fills in the form for you. If the JSON holds several servers, you can add them all at once. You can also fill in the form by hand.
New skill and New agent create a valid template and open it in your editor.
How changes are made
Tenfold makes every change through the safest path it has:
- MCP servers and plugins go through the
claudecommand, which does its own locking and checks. - Skill visibility and team-server approval are written to Claude Code’s settings files. A file that isn’t valid JSON is never touched.
- Skills and agents you remove go to the Trash, never deleted outright.
Most removals can be undone from the banner at the top of the tab.
Adding servers needs Claude Code installed. If Tenfold can’t find the claude command, see Troubleshooting.
Restart and resume
Claude Code reads MCP servers, plugins and most settings when a session starts, so a change only reaches sessions started after it. When a change affects open sessions, Tenfold offers Restart & resume. It quits Claude in each idle session and starts it again with the same conversation. A session in the middle of a turn is left alone, so you can restart it later.
